Full course description

This onsite lecture will be held at our E 70th Street campus on November 12th at 6pm. Topics include the early years of Frank Lloyd Wright’s life up to 1909. His family life, education, work and design history, his influence on other architects and the impact on the architectural profession will be included. Also, included will be Louis Henri Sullivan’s influence and the importance of the Fair of 1893 in Chicago on Wright’s design objectives. In addition, his early designs in the Queen Anne Style and the developing of the Prairie Style, as well as a new concept of building layouts, and how he developed those layouts.
